I left my corporate career in geoscience to pursue a Master’s in Counselling Psychology because this work matters to me in a way that nothing else ever has. Life has a way of shifting our direction — sometimes gently, sometimes not — and through my own challenges, I learned how growth and meaning can emerge from uncertainty. Those lessons are what led me here, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to serve my community. I try to live by the same balance I bring to my work — embracing challenge when it calls, and rest when it’s needed. I feel most alive outside doing something that scares me a little, but I’m equally happy spending a slow morning with a book, a coffee and a fuzzy blanket.
What it’s like to work with me:
Although I traded rock samples for therapy rooms, my analytical side came with me. I value research and evidence-based practice, and that curiosity and structure shape how I work with clients. At the same time, I lead with authenticity. I bring my personality to therapy — warmth, openness, and a healthy dose of imperfection. The relationship we build is at the heart of our work. You’ll see my real self in the room because I believe connection happens when we’re both human. I don’t position myself as the expert on your life; you are. My role is to offer perspective and tools that help you feel empowered to find your own answers.
Before we dive into what’s not working, I want to understand who you are — your motivations, your values and what lights you up (and if you don’t know yet, that’s ok! — we’ll explore it together). From that foundation, we’ll shape the therapy process to fit you — your goals, lifestyle, and worldview.
I draw primarily from CBT, DBT, and ACT, but my approach is flexible and collaborative. I also love weaving in whatever I’m learning about the nervous system and the brain, because understanding ourselves on that level can be deeply healing.
And while I’ll always hold space with compassion, I’ll also invite you to step into growth, even when it’s uncomfortable. I might not always tell you what you want to hear, but you can trust that everything I do comes from a place of care and belief in your potential.
I work with adults, with a focus on:
• Identity exploration and self-esteem • Women’s mental health • Career and burnout • Trauma • Relationships and attachment • Anxiety and depression • Life transitions and grief
